Jason Taylor is the Director of UAS Programs at Sentinel Robotic Solutions, where he leads the development and integration of drone operations focused on utility inspection, patrol, emergency response, and operational safety. With more than 30 years of remote flight experience and nearly a decade supporting utility UAS operations, Jason has worked extensively with electric cooperatives and utility providers across the United States to help safely integrate drones into real-world field operations.
His experience includes transmission and distribution patrols, storm response operations, BVLOS utility corridor inspections, thermal assessment, and hazard identification workflows designed to reduce crew exposure and improve situational awareness before personnel enter the field. Jason has also led UAS safety and training programs for utility personnel nationwide, training more than 400 linemen and over 2,000 drone operators in safe and effective UAS operations.
In addition to his utility work, Jason serves as an FAASTeam DronePro and has supported the development of operational procedures and safety-focused workflows for critical infrastructure inspections, emergency operations, and advanced UAS missions. His presentations focus on practical field deployment, risk reduction, and how drones are transforming safety culture within the utility industry.
