Thomas Williamson is the founder and President of United Powerline Solutions, a Midwest-based utility contractor serving the electric utility industry and across the United States. With more than 15 years in the powerline industry, Thomas started as a groundman and worked his way through the ranks, learning firsthand the challenges, sacrifices, and responsibilities that come with keeping the lights on. From storm restoration and emergency response to overhead and underground distribution work, he has spent his career alongside the men and women doing the work in the field.
Having experienced the industry from both the truck and the boardroom, Thomas brings a practical perspective to the conversations surrounding safety, workforce development, and the future of the utility industry. He understands the pressures crews face every day, the importance of strong leadership, and the impact that decisions made at every level can have on the people performing the work.
A passionate advocate for lineworker safety, Thomas is committed to creating honest conversations about the factors that affect the industry. Through industry outreach, public speaking, and his Power Grid Talks podcast, he works to bridge the gap between field personnel, contractors, and utility leadership while promoting a culture where every worker has the opportunity to return home safely at the end of the day.
